Christmas 2011, Scarlette is almost 4 so seeing Santa was very exciting and smiled lots and Sy cracked it when he had his Santa photo so that's pretty normal, hahaa, and Scar got her Santa pressie, a pink scooter and Sy just played with all mountains of wrapping paper! pretty normal huh for those ages too, it's always a big day for the kiddies! X.x

Our little man turned 1 on the 27th Novemeber 2011, thank you to all our family and friends who were there through the good and bad during the first year, we couldn't have made it through without you!!! Sy Sy is such a happy, giggly, flirty baby boy who makes us smile so much!! We love you so much! X.x

I've put these frames up in my kitchen for all to see and we look at the every day, i also have my childrens footprint and handprint tattooed on my arm to always remind me of them at that age and how quickly they grow! We are so blessed to have such a sweet mumma who is also our neighbour that runs a cute family daycare where Sylus & Scar get lots of love,cuddles & giggles while i cut up my wooden toys and dye lots of fabric, for our christmas gift she popped in a little verse and their artwork they did with her that is so special that i wanted to share it here...........

Sometimes you get discouraged because i am so small

and always leaving fingerprints on furniture and walls

But everyday i'm growing I'll be grown some day

and all those tiny handprints will surely fade away

So here's a little handprint just so you can recall

exactly how my fingers looked when i was very small.

Scarlette & i recently had our visit and relaxed interview to attend our local steiner school and we recieved our letter in the mail to let us know us now we have been accepted to start pre school next year!!! So happy, it's such a beautiful and magickal place to be and it feels so right.............. life and our little family is blooming and welcoming new changes as the spring weather unfolds!

These are some piccies of my little Miss Scarlette Rose's room, we are so soooooooo lucky be able to paint our rental home, and we made her space a playful bright (very girly) room that she will want to hang out in, the flags are a mix of tie dyed cotton and star prints made really cheap and framed some gorgeous cards that had really sweet positive messages that are nice reminders to read!! We decorated her room when her baby brother Sylus was born to also welcome the change in our home and family! So far so good!! yeahhhh!!! X.x

Awesome day out, found some peices by some artist's i like, phibs........
Below info is taken from the Harold Park website.............

Built in 1904 and once the second biggest depot in Sydney, the tram sheds housed up to 200 trams, servicing Glebe Point, Leichhardt and Balmain until 1958.
Ownership of the tram sheds was transferred to the NSW Harness Racing Club in 2002.
The tram sheds are heritage listed under the Leichhardt LEP, 2000.
The Club has made a number of attempts to restore and refurbish the tram sheds over the past few years as a multipurpose site but each attempt has been rejected by either Leichhardt or Sydney City Council.
Cost estimates for restoring and refurbishing the tram sheds range between $20-35 million.
There are 5 remaining trams inside the sheds. These have been offered to various organisations but to date no one has accepted responsibility for their removal.
Current zoning prevents use of the tram sheds for anything other than recreational activities.

This week my hubby and i have noticed even more how much our babies are growing up, miss Scarlette is saying the most hilarious things and talking so much and Sylus is rolling over and sitting up and making so many new noises and grew his first new front teeth, 2 came through at once and he barely made a complaint, what a lil cherub, his lil chatter is so adorable even though it's just a little blabbering, it's all about the kiddies at the moment, not much creating with this rainny wintery weather!

Finally we went apple picking this year for our first time, it was a lovely stop off on our way to the Ironfest at Lithgow, we stopped off at Bilpin and met farmer Bill, and we could walk through the orchard and pick our own, eat what you want and they aren't sprayed with any nasty chemicals. fun for the whole family. We made a yummi apple crumble, and will make some fresh baby food for Sylus.

We were lucky to have a lil weekend get away to our friends beautiful beach house with the kids and was so loving the town of Berry down the south coast, fell in love with a kids toys shop and had to buy one of these balls for Sylus, you know how much i love handmade!! and............. did a copy and paste on where this ball comes from.

We have alot of colour in and out of our home, it's something my babies will be surrounded by, lots of colour!!! We recently added more rainbow flag to the toy equipment in the backyard so it's pretty fun to play out there!! Gorgeous hubby used recycled wood to make the climbing cubby house, clever man!!............
I know i make alot of rainbow peices for the Scarlette Rose Fairy shops but we enjoy bright things everywhere!!!

Funky cloth nappies!

We are loving the Aussie company called Baby Bee hinds that make really funky cloth nappies, it was something i looked into before we had Scarlette but found these wonderful to use with Sylus, easy to use & wash.
Reading how many disposable nappies get used and add to our waste, it was a comforting choice i wanted to make, it's the lil things we do that are adding up to make our world a more eco friendly place to live and to teach our children how to make a difference.

Over the easter long weekend break we had with rain almost every day, a trip to Newtown was just what i needed to refresh my cabin fever!!

MAY'S is excited to present Melbourne artist VEXTA. VEXTA will introduce her magical winged figures to the lane. These half-human half-animal creatures explore the way we have confined ourselves in our concrete jungles and the effect this has on our psyches. VEXTA's obsession with cosmology, concepts of life, death and the future of mankind form the basis of her work.

VEXTA will be painting the massive 24 meter length of MAY'S Lane; the feature panel measuring 360x276cm plus 4 panels 235x160cm.

My gorgeous friend Abby recently had some confronting issues about her breastfeeding in public. I've had alot of trouble breatfeeding and an currently feeding Sylus on a script formula due to allergies but 100% support women who breastfeed to have the freedom to feed their lil ones where ever, whenever!! I'm not full on hardcore about everything but felt right to be there and support her!!

So a breastfeeding bunch of lovely mumma's was organised to do a flash mob nurse in!!

Keep Australia beautiful get tattooed!!!

As i've become a mother, i've pushed my tattooing life to the side, i miss it so much!!
But i know that these precious moments in the days my babies are still babies are really speical and can never be replaced, so as much as i dream about all the designs and giant colour peices i want mark my wonderful clients with........ i will return in the not too distant future!! I was very excited to visit the Sydney tattoo expo this year and meet the really, really tall and stunning blonde bombshell pin up model Sabina Kelley, like a lil girl meeting Justin beiber, tehehehee.
I was able to see Lucky Lozza who i worked along side of at Yakuza Tattoo Studio, wow, her work in just unreal!!
We decided to take the kiddies, so it was so funny when we bumped into Mus-sashi. a japanese artist who i have been tattooed by twice, once at the Melbourne tattoo convention and the second one at Tweed Heads tattoo convention, the language barrier between us is hilarious and makes for a fun and cute sign language convo and they just love kids and wanted to squeeze their chubby cheeks!!!
Anywhoooo, the moral of the story is, i felt inspired, re-lit the candle burning inside to keep creative, keep drawing!!!!

I miss my big sister Katie so much!!!
One afternoon while at home with the kids, not much happening, i got a txt from her saying i'm ok, but i've been in a car accident (living in a small town where our father was born and raised).
Ofcourse i think the worse and ring her hubby to see how she is, and as an emotional mother i have become, i cried.
Cried from the relief of knowing she is ok considering the car is a ride off, and her kids car seats were on the road, ggeezz, what a mixed wave of emotions running through my mind, being so grateful her 3 boys that they weren't in the car and ......... so instead of dwelling on the negative i wanted my sister to know how much a love her and how grateful i am for her being here and alive, a lil bruised and battered but alive!!!!
So very proud of how she dealt with it all. I now have a new tattoo with a big K for her!!.............And loved our thema & louise train trip just hanging out! heheheee!!

I fell in love with this cute lil wooden bunny, all hand made with tiny lil felt easter eggs in the cart. I love supporting one of my favourite stalls at the local Lorien Novalis Steiner school markets .......... this stall has the most colourful pottery plates, bowls, mugs that i can't resist for our home.

Created by the adults from Dulkara which is an adult day and community participation service run by Inala which is a Rudolf Steiner organisation supporting individuals with disabilities.

I cant wait to give it to Scarlette!

Once again................... i've been really really slack with updating my blog but it's been a busy year already, i started an Ebay store last year and it's great, so many lovely Aussies to have some colourful goodies! i feel very blessed!!

The past weeks have been joyous and also sad!

We lost our 2 most adorable loving staffies called Sakura & Zues, they got out early morning and got more bold and went for a walk. Both have gone to join the big playful animal circus in the Sky, that's what we have told our lil Miss Scarlette to make it easier for us to grieve. We miss them dearly and will write another blog on how they have enriched our lives!!!

On the upside........... happy and wonderful news that our 2 beautiful devine mumma friends both had baby boys so we have been so lucky to watch them grow in the belly and enter this big wide world and be adored by such warm loving parents, grandparents, family and friends.

I bought this very very cute lil doll called mimi, that comes in a kit from The Red Thread, she fits in nicely with my collection of kimmidolls, i bought her for lil Scarlette but i love japanese dolls, fabric, art and tattoos so i couldn't resist her!

And.............. my fav flower from my hubby, he bought me these for national ranga day!! hehehe

Scarlette is loving her play time and discovering so much, last week a friend passed on a link for Eco toys www.ecotoys.com.au and have had my eye on these beautiful bright blocks, they are so much fun and we enjoy playing with rainbows. There are so many gorgeous goodies on their site and run by a mumma who cares about childrens toys!

The wild adventures of Scarlette Rose!

Our poor lil Scarlette Rose has had a rough couple of weeks, her first accident she fell off her little chair and hit her head on the corner and made a good dent in her head, and doctors had to glue it!! eeeww, lots of blood!
And............Scary weekend in Childrens Hospital with croup, she has been so brave through all of it and so we are having lots of cuddles and got a couple of special dollies to play with! X.x.

We love the happy Scarlette, sad Scar is so yucky!

Wow, so much going on already, lots of stories by the time she hit's 21 im sure! X.x.

I find that during winter months i like bright colours around me, i love these funky platic rainbow sets from IKEA for Scarlette to use and play with, the kids love them!...... and my awesome cookie jar from a very dear friend of mine and this bubble gum machines full of well.........bubble gums balls from my beautiful godfather! I have a sweet tooth for sure! and .................... found some very cool purple and black A4 tins from a shop called smiggle, I'll be going back there for sure! Last fav item is this pretty print i bought from finders keepers market in Sydney by tabithaemma, she has a shop on Etsy too!

I will post up any new dates of other markets we do but these markets have gorgeous handmade crafts, local food, organic veggies, fair trade coffee, chai cafe, plant stall, local music and entertainment during the day!!

Scarlette's 1st birhtday party, can't believe how fast her first year went!!
We had such a lovely day, very hot in Sydney but we had the kids pool out in the yard and lot's of ice. The cupcakes turned out well, so much fun making them!! .......... Scarlette loved the cake!!
We had very generous friends and family donating gifts and money, we asked everyone to donate a gift for the sick kids at Westmead Childrens Hospital or if they would like to donate money for my neice's school, The North Rocks Deaf & Blind school, we felt that Scarlette has been very blesse with so much, so i am very thankful to our friends for respecting our wishes!! X.x.

Afternoon!!

I dyed a few more wraps and popped them up on Etsy, is was a busy weekend in the garden, getting our backyard ready for Scarlette's 1st Birthday party this saturday, i've made some pretty flags and cleaned up all the things that our dogs have eaten! I thought the wraps looked so pretty and colourful from the back deck!
